WE’RE SEEKING: 2 housemates to join us for the last 6 months of 1-year lease (which started May 1st, 2026) in our spacious 5 bedroom / 3 bathroom Victorian house in downtown SB. We're also hoping to find housemates interested in staying beyond May 2027.
AVAILABLE ROOMS + APPROXIMATE RENT
→ Small Bedroom w/ shared full bathroom — $1100 + utilities
→ Medium Bedroom (more storage) w/ shared full bathroom — $1200 + utilities
UTILITIES: ~$200/mo per person for gas + electricity + internet + cleaners. Trash + water paid by landlord. Varies a bit by month.
HOUSE DETAILS: Bedrooms are well-lit and have big closets. Common spaces include kitchen, living room, dining area, front and back porch, and landscaped front yard where we cultivate a flourishing garden. Wood floors in the entire house, interior renovated nicely in 2011. Washer/dryer in the house. We have fully furnished the main areas of the house but you would need to supply your bedroom. 2 off-street parking spots, ample permitted street parking. One block from the 24X/12X bus stop and a 15 minute drive from UCSB campus (on a bad day). Cottage hospital is a convenient 7 blocks away. We're located 2 blocks from State Street, 2 blocks from the freeway, 4 blocks from the Public Market, and a 10-minute bike ride to west beach.
WHO WE ARE: Three established housemates in SB. We like cooking and hosting events, skiing and rock climbing, trail running and cycling, backpacking and camping, ultimate frisbee, concerts and festivals, aerial arts, beach and front yard bonfires, dinner and house parties, farmers' markets, concocting delicious beverages, sipping wine, traveling, good conversation, and enjoying Santa Barbara's splendor. We lead full lives and look forward to a great house community to come home to.
